Wedding season is upon us! This year I had the chance to go to my boyfriend's oncle's wedding just north of Paris, in the beautiful French countryside. Unfortunately the weather was not the best, but the evening was still amazing. Not only did I get to eat all the delicious Réunion food, I also got to meet almost all of my boyfriend's family, which was absolutely wonderful. Family first -my own AND my new one.
As I mentioned in my last post, my job does sometimes have its perks. This means that I sometimes get to travel, and two weeks ago I got to go to Tallinn on business. I've been there quite a few times before due to the obvious closeness to my natal home of Helsinki, Finland, but I've also had the chance to go there on business quite a lot in the past 15 months I've worked for the company that currently employs me. I was able to go for a walk and some dinner on a Friday evening in the nice sunny nothern weather they had going on, here are a few snapshots I took along the way.
I recently had the chance to go to Spain for a brief 36-hour stay. One of the perks of my job! I went over with a few colleagues to a summer event organized by the company. Even though I wasn't there for that long, I still got to enjoy the sun and the beach - our hotel was literally on the beach. I also got to eat well and even dip my feet in the ocean. The theme of the company summer event was a Hawaian white party, therefore everyone was dressed in white and got given a flower lei upon arrival. Sangria and tapas were flowing and even though 36 hours is short, a taste of Spain is always welcome.
